Celleration, Inc., a privately held medical device company, was founded in 1999 to develop and commercialize its therapeutic ultrasound platform.

Celleration received 510K clearance from the FDA in 2005 with the full claim of  “promote wound healing”.  Shortly thereafter, the company introduced the MIST Therapy System to the US market and has since built an impressive body of clinical evidence demonstrating significant clinical and economic benefits in hundreds of facilities across the United States.  Currently, over 55,000 patients have been treated with 800 system installations.

MIST Therapy is the only stimulating therapeutic technology clinically proven across the wound healing matrix to painlessly accelerate the natural wound-healing process while reducing bioburden.

Celleration’s primary focus is on market development of MIST Therapy through programs that generate awareness and trial of the system, and by working closely with clinicians as they adopt the technology. In addition, the company is playing a leadership role in advancing the science and practice of wound healing by working with medical professionals and providers, payers, and the industry to identify new standards of care and reimbursement.

Celleration is also actively exploring new applications for the technology in the broader market for soft tissue repair and regeneration. Our expertise in generating, managing and applying ultrasonic energy is enabling us to work with professionals and technology partners to identify innovative ways to prepare tissue for and accelerate the process of repair and regeneration. We are developing new ways to use therapeutic ultrasonic energy, either as a part of a surgical or interventional procedure to avoid further complications and speed recovery, or following such procedures to mitigate complications.

So while our primary focus is on MIST in wound care, we have a larger vision for the company in tissue regeneration.  We are also looking to take this important technology beyond the U.S. borders.  The company received CE certification in 2007.

After treating over 55,000 patients, our clinical experience demonstrates that for a mere 15 minutes a week, MIST Therapy will heal wounds at twice the rate of traditional techniques in half the time.
