CAREER OPPORTUNITIES - Senior Product Marketing Manager - Upstream
We have an opening for a dynamic Senior Product Marketing Manager - Upstream. This role is critical in propelling our growth as we expand our national sales force, establish a strong brand, and broaden our presence in the industry. This position’s key areas of initial focus will be assisting with the branding, positioning and messaging, as well as handling the marketing responsibilities of sales training. This person also will be the key Marketing contact for R&D and Reimbursement/Clinical teams and handle the Business Development/International needs until additional resources are required.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Planning
- Support the development of brand strategy and positioning; ensure consistent messaging across communication
- Participate in marketing planning process, budgeting and assist with the implementation of sales strategy
- Provide market insight through market intelligence to R&D for product development
Marketing Tool Development
- Responsible for Speaker/Presenter support and development; participation in Thought Leader program
- Train new sales personnel in conjunction with Sales Training Director
- Assessment of training output through identification of identified sales competencies
- Agenda setting
- Content development
- Implementation
- Evaluation and revisions
- New training methods
- Collaborate with Reimbursement and Clinical team regarding economic and clinical needs that are needed in the market place; handle Business Development Marketing requests as needed
Marketing Activities/Events
- Participate in product promotion for tradeshows and seminars that support development of customer relationships.
- Conduct field visits to Celleration customer sites
- Build and maintain relationships with key Wound Center care-givers & administrators, physicians, and wound care experts; understand and be able to communicate the technical and clinical information
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree in business/marketing and or a related field; MBA preferred but not required
- Minimum of 7 years experience in medical marketing/product management, with proven marketing experience in multiple care settings and audiences
- Experience in wound care or medical device industry strongly preferred, but not required;
- Sales and/or clinical experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge and capability in the areas of market branding, positioning, and messaging
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong presentation skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task to achieve results
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to facilitate consensus
- Strong sense of initiative, self-starter with a strong focus to achieve results
- PC Skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook
- Ability to think creatively
- Knowledge of the wound care industry and specifically, MIST therapy, or ability to quickly learn the critical aspects for marketing MIST effectively in the industry
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and to influence key decision-makers
- Ability to travel at least 25-35% of the time
